"Using Watercolor to its Full Potential"

A 3- day Master Series Workshop with instructor Sonya Terpening.

November 12 – 14, 2024 (Tuesday – Thursday)

In this class, you will learn to use watercolor to its potential while still retaining control and detail. Sonya Terpening is a master at letting watercolor be watercolor. She will demonstrate how to work with watercolor’s unique traits rather than fight to overcome them.

Each morning Sonya will demonstrate the fundamentals of color, design and value by completing a painting. By watching Sonya paint, you will see, in action, the techniques necessary to paint in watercolor.

The afternoons will be for you to paint with Sonya’s help and encouragement. Individual attention is an integral part of this class. Sonya wants you to come away with all the tools necessary to paint in your own style in watercolor.

Please bring personal reference photos from which to paint.

This workshop is for adults, high school and older. All skill levels are welcome, but students should have some knowledge of watercolor and be able to paint on their own (with encouragement and assistance) in the afternoon.
