Watercolor Landscape for Beginners

$50 for the class.

In this class students will use transparent layers of watercolor and learn some helpful techniques to paint the little chapel at Journey Home with some trees. Amy will demonstrate each step and then the class will repeat the step on their paintings.  Amy will send a line drawing of the chapel for students to transfer to their watercolor paper before class.

This class is for adults high school and older.

Supply List:

Suggested colors: Ultramarine, cadmium red, yellow ochre, sap green and cascade green.

Paper: 1 piece of 8”x 10″ watercolor paper – preferably Arches Cold Pressed 140 lb.

Brush: a size 12 round that has a good point should be all that is needed. Students may be able to borrow from Amy if necessary.

Palette for mixing paint or Styrofoam plate, masking tape, paper towels, container for water, Masonite board or another hard surface on which painting will be taped.  

*BAA has water containers and boards that students can borrow.

The maximum number of students is 15.

BAA art classes are open to members and non-members.
