Announcing the Show winning entries!

Congratulations to Carmen Schaar-Walden on her Best In Show oil painting “Afternoon at Kittery Point”.

Carmen Schaar-Walden is an artist living and working in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Carmen focuses on the natural beauty all around her.  She often isolates nature (“nature portraits’) against a neutral background to give reverence to it, and often paints her subject matter from the viewer’s personal vantage point, as they would have discovered it passing by. She feels it is important to appreciate these visual treasures as they remind us that we have a duty to protect them for future generations.

To see more of her work visit cswfineart.com

View “Afternoon at Kittery Point” at The Center in Bartlesville, along with dozens of other entries in our 2025 Art Show and Sale, through Sept. 26.

Thank you to Show Judge James Oliver!

A professor at Pittsburg State University, James Oliver took time to teach a 3 day workshop at BAA, “Gouache Essentials: Unlocking Color Composition in Three Days” as well as serving as judge of the 2025 BAA Art Show & Sale.

Congratulations to the winners of the Bartlesville Art Association 2025 Art Show & Sale.
