$15 for supplies payable to Lori upon arrival at class.

Cold wax medium is a versatile oil painting additive that transforms oil paints into a thicker, more textured, and matte-finish medium. It’s a soft, paste-like mixture, typically made from beeswax, solvent, and sometimes resin, which is used to add body, transparency, and depth to oil colors. Unlike encaustic painting, cold wax does not require heat to be used.

Students will dive into using cold wax and oil paint, as well as combination of media and materials such as acrylics, inks, and papers.

Be prepared to fearlessly explore your creativity using this ancient medium in modern applications.
