“Art 101” Watercolor Painting
Instructor: Amy Jenkins
Date: Saturday, November 15, 2025
Time: 2 – 4 pm
Join award winning watercolorist, Amy Jenkins, as she guides you step-by-step through a value study of a face using only one color. This will help students concentrate on value (lights and darks). Amy will send out a couple of faces for students to choose from or you may bring your own.
Supplies needed:
Please transfer image onto watercolor paper before class.
1 sheet of 9″x12″ (or similar size) Arches 140 lb cold press paper and paint.
Paints:
1 dark color of paint (your choice)
Other supplies needed:
Brushes 12 round and 2 round or similar sizes.
Paper towels
Water container
Palette or styrofoam plate for paint.
Tape and a board to tape paper on. BAA has some boards to loan if needed.
